Technical Sergeant Julian Agee distinguished himself by outstanding achievement as Facility Manager, Presidential Airlift Group, 89th Air Wing, Joint Base Andrews Naval Air Facility, Maryland. On 19 February 2014, Sergeant Agee identified and reported three deficiencies on the Presidential Airlift Group facility's Fire Protection system. He discovered a leak outside of the pump house that supplied the Fire Protection System and two deluge engines that were not operating correctly. Sergeant Agee engaged the Civil Engineering Squadron and negotiated repairs of the deluge system and the water main. Knowing that after the deluge engines and the 14-inch water main had been replaced, there was a possibility that the pumps themselves would not work, he insisted that the entire system be tested. The Civil Engineering Squadron then determined that the pumps were not working properly and Sergeant Agee negotiated the repair of the fire pumps, ensuring the protection of 300 personnel and Air Force assets worth over thirty million dollars. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Agee reflect credit upon himself, the 89th Air Wing and the United States Air Force.
