Flight Chief, Tactical Integration

Technical Sergeant Scott M. Gingrich distinguished himself in the performance of outstanding service to the United States as Flight Chief, Tactical Integration, 32nd Intelligence Squadron, 707th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group, 70th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. During this period, Sergeant Gingrich led sixteen joint service personnel within the Tactical Integration Support Team, where he directed the quick-reaction deployment of intelligence equipment to austere locations and provided remote command and control support to deployed personnel. Specifically, he managed a sensor installation, which supplied combatant commanders with their sole source of intelligence information that resulted in kinetic strikes, eliminating eighteen insurgents. Additionally, he responded to quick-reaction collection sensor installation requirements, which led to the detainment of a high-value target and thwarted a planned terrorist attack on an American city. Furthermore, Sergeant Gingrich led a five-member team conducting remote system configuration testing on vital collection sensors, providing the command and control insight necessary to destroy two weapons of mass destruction facilities utilized by hostile forces. Finally, he earned the Squadron Noncommissioned Officer of Year 2017 for his leadership and support to seventeen intelligence operations, eleven leave-behind-sensor installations, and seven deployments. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Gingrich reflect great credit upon himself, the 32nd Intelligence Squadron and the United States Air Force.
